Spares Scheme Print
Bentley Drivers Club Spares Schemes Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bentley Drivers Club Limited. Within that organisation three separate schemes operate in recognition of the three distinctly different basic designs of Bentley produced - better known as Vintage (or Cricklewood), Derby and Crewe. Membership (optional) for each Scheme requires the completion of a simple form, and the payment of a modest, one-off fee which guarantees Membership of that Scheme for the entire period of Membership of that person of the Bentley Drivers Club. Once registered, that Scheme Member is eligible to request any technical advice and spares that are available through that Scheme under its terms of trading. These Schemes are:

Vintage Spares Scheme

Derby Technical Committee

Crewe Spares Scheme

Mk 6

Bentleys have always been highly reliable cars, particularly by the standards of the day.  However many members’ Bentleys are older than the members themselves and from time to time require routine and not-so-routine maintenance.  Earlier Bentleys, especially, were relatively simple cars and most jobs can be undertaken by the keen enthusiast.

These spares schemes are the lifeblood which enables many members to keep their cars on the road. As well as providing a source of expertise to advise on any specific job, the schemes arrange for the supply of new parts and tools at economic (to members!) prices, and provide solutions to overcome the few weaker design points of these old cars.

It should always be borne in mind that these schemes are managed and run entirely on a voluntary basis, and consideration of that fact should always be shown to these volunteers.
