MIRA Sprint 2010

Dear Competitor:

We hope that those of you who attended the BDC Annual Sprint at MIRA enjoyed the event despite the inclement weather!

There was an excellent turnout with Championship rounds for the TVR Car Club, the Austin Healey Club, The Nottingham Sports Car Club and the Midland Speed Champioship, a big thank you all those who turned out to support the event.

Of the Bentley contingent, in his first ever Sprint Vivian Bush acquitted himself well in his MKVI Special, John Scanlon’s mighty Arnage T was a handful in the wet conditions and it was good to see Club Member Julian Grimwade competing in his first ever Sprint, campaigning his newly accuired Lagonda Rapier, he was first in his class!  And not forgetting Ron Warmington who on the day in the run off’s was the fastest Bentley, excellent effort!

Thanks must also go to Iain Warner in his 3 Litre, William Elbourn in his 3/4 Litre and Guy Northam in his MKVI Special for braving the conditions.

We hope to see many more Bentleys out next year in what is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and a great introduction to the sport.

Also congratualtions to Chris Green for setting Fastest Time of the Day at 51.66 seconds in his rapid OMS Racing Car, well done.
