Concours 2009

CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE & SUMMER RALLY 2009

The 63rd Annual Concours d’Elegance and Summer Rally returned after 10 years, on Saturday 27th June, to the beautiful setting of Broughton Castle, Oxfordshire. Although threatened with heavy thunderstorms earlier in the week we were blessed with the sun shining down on over 1,000 members, families and friends, plus a wonderful array of Bentleys from all eras out on parade.

The Concours cars for judging were displayed in front of the Castle moat and after a final polish were ready for the judges to inspect. Prizes were awarded to Patina classes, with rosettes being placed on the winning cars, delighting the surprised owners. Lord and Lady Saye and Sele, our hosts at Broughton Castle, kindly presented the main awards.

As said by one of the members, “the day was wonderful, with a superb setting and glorious weather the BDC family really could enjoy itself in its traditional way”.
