Powerplant donated to WOBMF by Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust

The Clubhouse at Wroxton has bolstered its already impressive collection of engines with a generous donation from the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust (RRHT).

The 4¼-litre Mk V powerplant, handed over to the Bentley Memorial Foundation, was put on display in the Clubhouse foyer yesterday.

Built at Crewe and restored in March 2000 by members of the RRHT in Derby, from where it was collected, the engine was designed to deliver 123hp at 3,500rpm.

The arrival of the latest engine brings to four the number of units currently being exhibited in the Clubhouse.
