Cubberley spectacular rescheduled for June 2022

In view of the UK Government’s announcements last week regarding the existing Covid-19 restrictions, and the likelihood that these will continue in some form until the summer and maybe beyond, we have reluctantly decided to POSTPONE this year’s Summer Concours & Party, scheduled for the weekend of 4-6 June.

The event was due to be held at Cubberley House, Ross-on-Wye, home of BDC Member Dean Kronsbein. Our much-anticipated visit to Cubberley will now take place in June 2022.

This year’s postponement is, of course, a great disappointment to us all after so much work has been done to ensure a spectacular weekend, but we have been left with little alternative. Any deposits which Members may have already paid will be refunded in due course.

There may be some good news, however. As a possible alternative, we are investigating the feasibility of a smaller, more informal Concours – if Government restrictions allow – at a venue to be decided, and which would at least give us all the opportunity to get out in our cars and meet up.

Such an event would be arranged at short notice and include basic provisions such as food stalls. While there will be no formal concours judging, an informal Bentley contest may be organised. Please look out for further announcements in due course.

BDC SILVERSTONE 2021
Planning is well advanced for the Club’s annual BDC Silverstone race day on Saturday 7 August, by which time it is to be hoped that we have all returned to some semblance of normality.

It is hoped the weekend’s festivities will be kicked off on the Friday (6 August) by the traditional Touring Assembly for which preparations are currently being made.

All activities and details will be confirmed and communicated in due course.
