The current war in Ukraine has affected us all, as we watch and hear the harrowing daily news reports on TV and radio. Lives have been decimated and homes destroyed. Many citizens have been left with nothing and forced to flee their homeland as refugees.
The world has been appalled by the atrocities and we have all been left wondering what we can do to help those people who are in desperate need.
The Bentley Drivers Club has, therefore, decided to offer our support in the form of donations to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal of the Disasters Emergency Committee. These donations, no matter how large or small, will provide much needed aid in the form of food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.
The UK Government will also match donations from the public pound-for-pound up to £20 million – meaning your support will go even further.
Our Western Region in the UK and Queensland Region in Australia have already contributed generously, respectively providing donations of £2,000 and Aus$1,000 to the appeal.
