Thanks Christopher, the car looks extremely smart and I’m glad it’s running well.

Hi Christopher, I am glad that you are proceeding well with the recommissioning of your car. Which tyres did you opt for as a matter of interest?

Yes Martin, I'm enjoying putting together some of the history of the car in addition to commissioning the car for Spring and Summer driving season. Thus far, I've replaced the tires, performed complete fluid/lubrication services and currently am having the prop shaft done.

Very nice PW 3 1/2 Chris living in Mallorca?
Sounds as though you have been very busy.
I quite know the feeling about the weather as we used to live in SK17 which trumps S75 in that respect by several minus degrees C which could be a bit onerous although we were lucky to get away to far flung warmer places as you know during the winter care of my day (and night) job of what was then the “Worlds Favourite”.

Hi Martin,
I have been too busy fretting over a lump of Derby Bentley "scrap" owned previously by P.E. and marketed by "Mulliner", not to mention ,of course, a fruitless month long wait for parts from R888888s. These people seem by holding customers to ransom.
Ricky from Mallorca is sending a knackered Derby axle via Leicester, Vintage and Classic sent a MK VI diff to day. Jeez.
Ed Mowbray lent his Silver Ghost to the producers of The Great Gatsby, on the condition that he drove the car during filming.
What effect can that have on miserable days in S75 3RT?
This is the Ricky car.

Going back a bit further Christopher, from the BDC Members and their Bentleys published in October 1950, the owner of B177JY was a Mrs M.H. Gordon Matheson presumably Alexander’s widow who resided at Limpley Stoke Hotel near Bath in Somerset which incidentally still exists.
There are no further BDC entries for the car in the subsequent editions from 1959 to 1976.

I've recently purchased B177JY and it is being delivered to me next week. 1937 Park Ward saloon. Does anyone have any information on this car? I've ordered the build sheets and hope to have those soon to start to trace the history of the car.
