This car is one of the last Derby Bentleys built, delivered in August 1939, it is a rare MX overdrive gearbox model, chassis No B95 MX, and most desirable.
Originally a Park Ward saloon, the dhc was added later, and was owned by my friend Bob Burrell, Essex for a time.
Its present whereabouts is unknown, but as it stood, the sale value would be in excess of £100,000.

(I need a Marles steering column for an M series if you know of one.)

Hello just joined....

In about 1983/4 I bought the Bentley convertible in the photos below from a dealer in Goudhurst in Kent and would love to find out if it's still in existence, the year it was built and type also hopefully anything about its history.

I bought it because my Uncle owned one very similar though not a convertible with great childhood memories of an endless bonnet, a vast dashboard, dials everywhere, the smell of leather, salutes from AA patrolmen in yellow motor bikes and sidecars, pre-war village petrol pumps and lots more....

Despite not being mechanically minded in the least, still the same today, I just had to have one eventually ! My chief driving memory being the comforting way it handled on cambered country roads as if in a 4 wheel 30 degree angled drift !

Hoping someone can help....

Thanks Smile
