The above photo (hopefully if the upload worked) is my car having been delivered to Australia in 1924 prior to the body being built. Would anyone hazard a guess on the tyres, are they beaded edge or straight sided?
When I acquired the car it had straight sided wheels with a circlip like ring to hold the tyre in place, subsequently these wheels developed cracks and I replaced them with well based rims. I’m now wondering if beaded edge might have been a better choice, lighter steering etc.. But obvious disadvantages too. |

Your car looks perfectly fine to me, John!
You use it as it should be used, and the various changes add to its practicality.
Bearing this in mind, I wouldn’t worry about such things, unless you want the car to become a static exhibit.

When supplied by the Australian agent Fred Brodribb to Arthur Turdich your 3 litre was fitted with 820 x 120 B/E tyres. In one period side on photo you can read Dunlop Cord on the spare wheel. I will try an attach the photo to this post otherwise i will send it by email. |

Thank you Tony, that is brilliant.
I have only just noticed that in the 1920’s it had two side mounted spares, no doubt on BE tyres and the rough outback roads this was essential. |
