Silverstone winner claims Frank Clement Memorial Trophy for first time
Many congratulations to Lewis Fox who picked up the coveted Frank Clement Memorial Trophy for BDC Racing Driver of the Year 2025 at the Club’s annual Competitions Awards Dinner.
He was presented with his award by Competitions Captain Harry Johnson (pictured) at the black-tie ceremony held at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club in London’s Pall Mall last Friday.
Lewis’ successes during the season included winning the blue-riband Pre-War Bentley race at BDC Silverstone, a victory which earned him the John Duff Trophy.
Rising stars Anna and Louisa Getley were honoured once more, the sisters this time sharing the Sealink Trophy for Best Lady Driver, while seasonal debutant Soma Boyd-Gibbins’ performances earned him the Harry Rose Trophy for Best Young Driver.
Martin Greenslade was presented with a special Outstanding Service award to mark his retirement earlier this year as Competitions Secretary, a post he held for 20 years.
In all Harry handed out 20 prizes, encompassing Merit accolades alongside awards covering BDC Silverstone and the Mallory Park sprint meeting.
The most bountiful trophy haul was taken by Shaun Harborne who picked up five awards, with Soma and Robin Ward claiming three apiece.
