Welcome to the Bentley Drivers Club website
Founded by Keston Pelmore in 1936 with 26 members at the first gathering, the Bentley Drivers Club has steadily grown to a world-wide family of over 3,700 members. The Club history is about driving the fabulous Bentley motor cars, from the original cars created by W O Bentley in Cricklewood to the contemporary and luxurious models built at the Crewe factory today.
The members of the BDC follow in the footsteps of some of the iconic Bentley owners and drivers of yesteryear – the early days of the daring ‘Bentley Boys’, racing courageously/bravely at Le Mans in the ‘20s, with Bentley returning to win again in 2003 –you can see many of these cars competing or parading on track at the Club’s annual Silverstone race meeting – the 64th meet will be held on Saturday 10th August in 2013. for competitions information click here
Many more cars are on display at the annual Summer Rally & Concours de’Elegance - a great social gathering in June of members celebrating a glorious array of cars, from all years and eras, displayed for judging and prizes; picnicking with friends and soaking up a wonderful, evocative day in great company. This year’s event is on 29th June for more details click here
The BDC is a Club with great benefits for members – regular publications full of travellers tales, reports of social functions, motoring tips, technical help and information, news of forthcoming events and advertisers offering a wide range of services. A preferential rates insurance scheme, Spares and Technical schemes, special member discounts with companies such as RAC/Ferry operators and of course access to the huge information archives of the W O Bentley Memorial Foundation. These archives can provide an unrivalled insight into the history of your car together with much fascinating period information.
