BDC Board announcement

Message from Club President Duncan Wiltshire

I would like to take this opportunity to update all Club Members on the current situation concerning the Main Board of the Bentley Drivers Club. As you will be aware, this follows the resignations of three Board members, including Chairman Phillip Hine, recently.

I am delighted to confirm that a number of new Board members have duly been appointed:

•    Andrew Day
•    Dr Diana Green-Davy, CBE
•    Barbara Haig
•    Paul Spencer
•    Mike Warner

In addition, the Board has appointed Mike Warner (pictured) to serve in the role of interim Club Chairman.

Diana, Barbara and Paul currently Chair the South-East, Midlands and Mid-West Regions respectively, although they join the Board in a personal capacity. Mike is a Past Club Chairman, and Andrew is a Past Club Chairman and President. Between them they bring a tremendous wealth of experience, both from within the Club and from their wider professional lives. I am extremely grateful that they have all agreed to step up and work alongside existing Board members Ben Eastick, David Spencer, Phil Brooks and myself.

I particularly extend my gratitude to Mike for agreeing to lead the Club through to the next AGM on 21 April 2024.

I would like to thank our outgoing Board members for the unstinting time and effort they have given to the Club, and I look forward to working with the new incumbents and the broader Main Committee as we continue to drive the Club forward.

Despite the hiatus of the last few weeks, the BDC remains in a sound state. Our dedicated staff in Wroxton continue their excellent work on our behalf, and all is underpinned by the Club’s healthy financial reserves.

The Club’s broad range of events – both Regional and centrally organised – continue apace, with our packed programme of upcoming festive gatherings and an ever-filling calendar for 2024.
