Former Concours Chief Judge sadly passes away

It is with great regret that the Club announces the sad passing of Philip Sandwith. Philip was aged 70.

Philip, who was a Member of the Western Region, joined the BDC in 1970 and served as Chief Judge at the annual Concours for many years (pictured). His father, Geoffrey, was also a prominent Member of the Club.

The Club sends its sincere condolences to Philip’s wife Vicky and children Neil and Grace.

A service to celebrate Philip's life will be held at St Sampson's Parish Church in Guernsey on Thursday 20 April at 2.30pm.

As an alternative, Vicky, Neil and Grace plan to be at BDC Silverstone on Saturday 12 August, along with 'Uncle Victor', UV 1930, the family’s much-loved Speed Six which was so much part of Philip’s Bentley motoring. The family welcomes Club Members to see them there and give the Speed Six a pat in Philip’s memory.

A full obituary will appear in June’s Review.
