The speed with which the tours have been booked up this year must be a cause for both celebration and contrition.

Celebration because of the vigour and interest.

Contrition because of the small number of places available.

As I opened up this am to send an application, the e-mail announcing that all places had gone appeared.

OK Robins, you should have been quicker off the line, but nonetheless it does strike one that a sales opportunity, both for the club and the Company has been missed.

(Not me though. A second hand Dacia Duster is more likely!)

Cheers
John

Hard Luck!
Went in December with a friend and it really was rather special.
If you're wondering where to stay, I can recommend the Premier Inn Crewe West CW2 8SD which was about 2 miles from the Factory and very comfortable/good value etc.
£79 per room approx.

Thank you Christopher, but I can almost chuck a brick to Crewe from here!

I went in October having booked as soon as the email was received in January.
They have organised more tours for this year than 2019, we get it for free, usually there is a charge!
I found it fascinating and was led by a super, very knowledgeable gentleman who had worked for Bentley for many decades.
Definitely worth getting on the waiting list, on my tour there were unfilled places due to last minute drop outs.

I had been previously, some while back, on a visit organised by the Institute of Electrical Engineers which involved a discussion on the design of the electrical system of the then current cars, and a shortened tour.

I must admit to disappointment at the speed with which all the places were used, but will contact the organisation to seek a place on the waiting list.

Cheers

I trust no repeat visitors have been accepted. I will have to wait until next January to book, assuming I'm fast enough!

I would argue that I am not a repeat visitor, not having attended under the BDC umbrella, but as a guest of the Electricals. I would also be happy to pay for a couple of places, and maybe the Club might see it as a possible money raiser, although I suppose it might be necessary to gain the agreement of Bentley’s.

My main interest would be to meet members from other regions, which would be good.

Cheers
