Merry Christmas all, I’m hoping everyone is safe and well.
I recently got hold of a set of chassis rails and other parts including a blower/supercharger I’m lead to believe it’s BMY 6
Does anyone have any info (other than it Ray Roberts books) that could prove or disprove what I have been told.

Hi Anthony,

Are the chassis rails shortened Derby ones, with large cut outs?

Does the blower look like an aircraft cabin blower?

I know where they have come from, I had the chassis rails propping my garden wall up for about 3 years.

They and a pile of Derby rear axle casing parts, were bought from the estate of the late Alan Padgett as scrape ups.

The blower came from a shortened MK VI special, used for racing, until reconverted into an appalling mess. I had the car here for months, it took two of us to turn the steering wheel due to the wires, oversized tyres etc.

There is a picture of the car, in racing form in BS&SB, V1.

Thank you for that Chris, yes that’s definitely the blower.
So did you sell the Derby Chassis rails ? Are they from the Derby I was told or another Derby? Any idea of ID ? I want to register them, yes axles are there and bulkhead also steering.
