Hi ,I have a 1935 Derby and the rev counter is not working ,I have not removed it yet .
I assume it is wired into the distributer perhaps ?
Would appreciate any tips or advise

Mechanically driven off the back of the dynamo.
Check the flexible drive isn't broken by unscrewing from the back of the rev counter and checking it still rotates when the engine is running. If it rotates, you have a problem with the rev counter itself. Speedograph Richfield is one supplier who can repair these. |

Hi Ashley,
One week on it seems as though you have the rebuilt rear axle installed.
How does the ratio change feel, with the 20% higher gearing?
The relined brake shoes will take a while to bed in.
