I recently contacted the club’s insurance partner for a quote for my 3ltr. I was surprised to find it three times that of my existing
Insurers. They were charming to deal with but I rather wonder if motor insurance was not their strong point.
Has anyone had better luck? |

Try Hagerty. They will also allow self-assessed agreed value, without the need for three yearly professional valuation. |

I rang RH (who I believe are the club approved insurers) who already insure my 4.5. I wanted to add my new 4.5(S) at the same address. Very poor service. I explained that I needed it quickly as I wanted to collect the car. The person I was talking to said she had to speak to an underwriter but could only do that by email and there was no escalation process. I chased it five times and after 48 hours I still hadn't heard back so I tried Adrian Flux (they still haven't called back), Carole Nash (couldn't do it with the person I spoke to but gave me an alternative number, which didn't work) and Hegarty who would only quote it if I moved both cars to them. I then spoke to a friend who recommended Lockton. They were excellent. Quote done and paid for within 20 minutes at a reasonable price, which includes driving any other cars with comprehensive cover. All documents immediately available in their portal. |
