I'm over hauling a super example of the Arnage Red Label.
Last major component required is a CV joint, or complete drive shaft unit. There seems to be a complete lack of either available on the market.
As its a known fault, and happens at low milage (cars done 36,000), I'm shocked, as it seems inevitable all Arnage derivatives will suffer with the same issue at some point based on a internet search.
Would anyone know where available part may exist, or know of a retrofit solution?
Thank you. |

Thanks for reply.
Just for the community and an update. Both suppliers you mentioned have them listed, but they order via the main dellaer network. They don't actually hold the stock...
RR&B have been doing a cracking job tracking down the parts, as this is a real problem with the Arnage series. GKN were the original manufacturer of the drive shaft, which only came as a full unit.
GKN still manufacture the CV joint which is the part that fails typically (with great ease, around 25k.miles on early cars, and if you have a car with v1 or v2 release of the prop shaft).
RR&B is working with introcar to see if they can get hold of some stock (CV Joint) from GKN, and fingers crossed, we'll get the propshaft rebuilt in the next couple of weeks.. I'll update the post if we have success or not... |
