Here are a few pictures of the 1:1 Replica of the BR2 installed in the Snipe.Built to FAA airworthiness standards.

If anyone wishes to see the full set(!) then I will post more.

Please post some more images Chris. I would be particularly interested in the modern materials for example modern alloys that were not available when the engines were manufactured originally. Kind regards.

I assume that this engine was one of the New Zealand built ones, see

No, the above was built in Germany 2009/11. The New Zealand built replica Snipe and its replica engine were purchased by Kermit Weeks and that aircraft is in Florida.

I am very busy just now with a number of broken parts needed as always for rallies,and will post more pictures when the day cools down a bit(!).

How amazing that two lots of people chose to build replica BR2 engines, so much duplicated effort! Although I am equally amazed that there are so many manufacturers of new 4.5 WO engine blocks.
