That poor thing has been for sale for years.
It would almost be worth buying it for the thrill of having two non-matching engine numbers! |

With two of those RR 8cyl lumps up front, its weight distribution must be unusual. I do admire the determination and engineering skill of someone to do such a thing, but don't quite understand why they might wish to do it! |

On a highly tangential aspect to the comment by John Murch re the engineering of the twin engine Bentley:
In Drag Racing there have been a number of twin supercharged V8 dragsters, there is one in the UK as we speak.
One of the famous USA ones from the '70's was called Freight Train, then 'TV' Tommy Ivo built and ran one with 4 V8's. The complexity and engineering skills almost defy belief. They all ran on a high percentage of Nitromethane which is not to be treated with impunity as it is somewhat unpredictable, being compressive sensitive. Fuel consumption averaged out at about 60 gallons to the mile !!
I am not trying to hijack this thread in any way, just thought you may be interested in the engineering challenges.
