Although the 3 brush 2DA? 4D? dynamo appears ok the electro/mech. cutout is old and is appearing on its last legs/has had it we were thinking of converting to ELECTRONIC regulator for efficient function and keeping the old cut out box in place but without connection.
We have informal advice to the effect that conversion to ELECTRONIC would require changing the Dynamo to x2 Brush.
Has anyone got a view on this one please
