Advice required!!
I have replaced the rear near side damper [Flying Spares refurb] together with a new set of pipework. I have put it all back together and it is drip free BUT the ride is so hard. The car has lost its waft. It picks up all the lumps and bumps from the road.
Research has suggested that the flat Aux battery can default the ride to HARD but that is now all charged up.
I think the culprits are the Gas Springs under the car. Again research suggests that empty springs can cause major stress on the dampers and lead to leaks and damage. just what I have found
Does anyone have any similar experiences?

The Citroen derived oleo pneumatic spheres develop problems if the diaphragm between the nitrogen and the oil is damaged. The sphere fills with oil and the suspension becomes rock hard.
See a specialist for the repairs as the defective parts can cause serious damage if not corrected. |
