Previously owned by Stewart Wilkie, the gearbox is not in fact the original, but R-R installed a MK VI gear train just before the acquisition by the Wood Bros. The MK V overdrive set was not properly developed and many difficulties arose, noise being one them.
I know this as I had it here about 3 years ago. Andrew Wood, fairly recently confirmed the facts as I had assumed that they had done the "repair" them selves.
A bit of an in between, it has an engine almost identical with the R-R Wraith, and not as nice a car as a well looked after MK VI. |

Well, if it's not as nice as one of those " lumbering old brutes" I for one shan't be rushing to snap it up, even at that bargain price. |

They were not my words James.
The price is ridiculous and if there is a problem with the cylinder head, the car becomes useless, as there are no spares. |
