A bit belated, but we saw this R Type on our way to Le Mans last month in front of a village garage. The proprietor informed me that it was owned locally and that he was intending to restore it for the owner. It was in generally sound condition although the engine looked as though it hadn't run for a while with some surface rust on the coachwork and some interesting Marchal headlamps and fog lamps. Would these have been fitted before or after export? The chassis number is B596LTN.
