Hi Andy!
I just wanted to wish you a hearty welcome to the BDC. It is truly a remarkable and most outstanding gathering of global Bentley aficionados whether they are owners or admirers.
Like you, I am a new member but have actively participated in the threads.
My Bentley is a 1989 Mulsanne S which I acquired from Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA. I am the second care-taker, and my lovely has about 38K in mileage and runs like a dream.
I am a physician now retired from practice, but I have switched to academia and now instruct nursing and medical students. Also I am a very active author currently in the process of producing 2 new medical textbooks which will be published next year by Wolters-Klower and Jone and Barlett.
So I am quite busy being now nearly 67 years old.
I noticed that you didn't record your Bentley, and I am wondering what year and type to you take care of. I say that because Bentleys are never really owned by anyone (at least in my mind). They are treasured items to be cared for and passed on. They are such marvelous automobiles that whenever I drive my wife's car I really cannot stand its handling or modern "gizmos."
Just wanted to welcome you and encourage you to take part in the forum. The members are very courteous and will answer just about any question related to the B's.
Some of the photo's are beautiful, and the cars a thrill to look at.
Glad you joined the merry band of Bentley lovers!!
Best to you!

George,
Do you mean like this Bentley MK VI Special recreation by Racing Green Engineering?
These cars have had the Vintage men look twice, they are so good.

Thanks for that welcome George!
My car is a very interesting 4 1/2 litre racer that I am rescuing. I have most parts and am holding back as I want to get the identity sorted out. I will hopefully be able to post some pictures soon. Happy days! |
