I know several people have switched to LED lighting. There is an article in Classic Car Weekly (30 November) that says that these are not legal. The article starts: "Classic car owners should not replace exterior bulbs with LED items. CCW has discovered that no LED replacement bulbs on the market can comply with legally-required technical standards, and that only LED bulbs in purpose-built housings are legal".
I suggest people keep an eye on this, especially if you take your car for an MOT. |
