I am about to change the gearbox oil on B88HR. I intend using Comma EP 80W/90. Several years ago Chris Carnley recommended the addition of Slick 50 manual gearbox treatment when refilling with fresh oil. Do you still go with this decision Chris and do you think it would be beneficial?
Many thanks,

Hi Martin,
Comma 80/90 is OK, but if you are having selection difficulties not due to synchro damage, Slick 50 Transmission additive is beneficial, it is based on PTFE dry lubricant.
Add it before you pour in the fresh oil.
Make sure that the vent hole in the black cap of the dipstick is clear. |

Thanks Chris, To be honest the changes are fine and crisp so unless the Slick gives any additional protection to the cones and gears perhaps it is unnecessary but in my case .
