When you say four speed automatic are you talking about the older Hydramatic or the newer four-speed overdrive.
I have retrofitted my '67 T1 with a GM 4L80E (4-speed, fourth gear overdrive, with lock-up torque converter. |

Off Topic but - Chuck Simmers saved me from cutting my throat when he diagnosed an electrical problem in my WO 4.5L that was baffling me. The same knowledge helped me solve a similar electrical failure a couple of weeks ago.
