What is the round item in the upper left corner of this tool tray? If the photo does not show, as I am truly flying by the seat of my pants on this, I will be happy to send it via email. [/img] |

Ric,
I tried repairing your image tags, but I can't get the URL right. If you send me a URL that works in a browser address bar, I will fix it. |

I’ve also asked others. One has opined that while he does not agree with the oil can idea, nor that it might be for fuse wire, he does not have an answer. Any other thougths? |

May I suggest a call to Fiennes Restoration, I was in their workshops recently and they had a phenomenal number of Derby cars there.

I’m surprised that it’s not an oil can. |

If in fact Ric,s pic was flipped and the item is in upper right, then it is "Oil can, Kayes No 81".
It is a clicker type with a 2" spout. |

Soon to be BDC member Peter Lund had asked me, I asked the Forum and he has also reached what appears to be a viable answer to his own question. The missing “tool” are actually wheel weights. Right size, right shape, complete with a hole in the middle. Thanks guys. Your thoughts drove us on to find the answer. |

How interesting. Were tool trays put together by the coachbuilder or supplied by Bentley Motors? I rather imagine that it was the coachbuilder as they do seem to vary. |
