|
|
I am looking for a part for my 1952 MK VI. The cover for the starter motor that fits over the brushes. I believe the part number is RD4380 and currently not available from the factory.
If you have one for disposal please let me know.
Many thanks. |

Presumably you have tried Flying Spares. If not, it may be worth asking if they have a secondhand one.
I found a 2010 invoice from FS in my car’s file for :
RE18226P CLAMP STARTER MOTOR MKVI/R TYPE/ S1
Good luck |

ps. the “P” suffix indicates a “pattern” or aftermarket part, so someone found it worthwhile to remanufacture them and that part is still listed in my last printed FS catalogue of 2015, so worth a try. |

Thanks!
I tried the usual suspects all with the same answer. No.
So I bought a stainless steel exhaust pipe connector and some cork sheet and modified to fit. Sorted. |
