I should have been heading to the Scottish Whit Weekend today but all play was stopped by Covid.
It still didn't stop me taking the 3 litre out for a short run, taking a video of the trip and then speeding it all up so a 25 minute trip is condensed into 3 mins!!
Below is the link to the video on You Tube.

Fantastic, Malcolm.
But my experience of Scottish Whits is that that's normal driving for the Scottish 3 Litre brigade. |

How lucky you are to have such traffic free roads.
I did the same thing yesterday but spent the whole time avoiding the cyclists and camper vans that seem to be blocking up the entire New Forest and Hampshire coast!!! |

Like it Robert!!
The roads being so quiet is one of the positive things to come out of this craziness David. The circuit I can use is usually pretty free of traffic but even more so at the moment. |

Its an Akaso V50 Elite camera. Looks like a Go Pro but is significantly cheaper and has similar features. They get great reviews on Amazon. I used one of the many supplied attaching brackets onto the top of the windscreen.
It was the first time I used the camera and was delighted with the result. The camera is smaller than some dash cams and could well be used for that purpose too.
I then downloaded the video to my Mac and used iMovie. The whole trip was about 24mins which I thought would be ver boring to watch. I then noticed that I could speed up the footage and set it for 8 times the actual speed. By chance the sound of the footage speeded up came out as it did. For some reason the camera automatically splits the footage into 8 minute segments hence the slight changes is colour and sound 2-3 times. It was one of the first times I had used iMovie too but looked at one of the many tutorials on Youtube.
It was all a bit new to me but the result was excellent even though I say so myself. I am sure with a bit of practice I could improve things. |

Brilliant Malcolm! Was out in mine today too - absolute joy to drive around the Dorset lanes in perfect weather and hardly any traffic. Never before and probably never again once Covid is gone. Silver linings 'n all that.. |
