Now forgive me if the facts on this are incorrect and please point them out.
My choice of Bentley model would be an Azure, but I do wonder if any were made as a Tin Top.so far I have only seen rag tops.

As far as I can see the Azure was a convertible.

I am a bit of an unmarried marriage guidance counsellor on this as I am absolutely no expert so forgive this if it stupid.

Was not the Bentley Brooklands a saloon version? See here - https://www.bentleymotors.com/en/models/past-models/bentley-brooklands.html

It certainly looks gorgeous.

Maybe I did not make myself clear, so far all I can find are what we used to call rag/soft tops, in the Bentley range. I think the Azure would be my choice. But have Bentley made a convertible with a metal roof that folds down and away.

Apologies! I thought that you wanted a two door saloon without a convertible roof.

I had only had half a glass of wine as well!

I am not aware of any such folding metal roof model but stand by to be corrected.

I don't suppose that was English wine.
Mine is the earlier Brooklands, the SZ range.Do not care much for the new models.Makes me think that VW have just pinched designs from Jag, Aston and Audi.lumped them all into one shape.UGH. Made in large bulk for profit lowering the Bentley name in my opinion.I expect they will try and supply Bentleys soon instead of a Passat.

Thank God it was not English wine.

The model I was referring to was the Brooklands from 1993 which was pre-VW.

Now what is wrong with English wine, I thought maybe you were coming back in Sep/Oct to buy some decent Kent crop.I assumed you might not biased.

The little devil on my right shoulder overrode the appeal for niceness from the angel on my left shoulder. I was rather hoping for a reaction and expected an avalanche of patriotic indignation and Churchillian quotations about 'fighting them in the vinyards etc.

I am rather disappointed Philip that you are the only voice of rebuke. I rather expected to have a hand delivered note from the Club Chairman telling me that I had been black-balled from the Club along with a silver tray, a glass of whiskey and a revolver, to end it, 'the gentleman's way'.

I don't dislike English wine, I just feel that it is in the main, very overpriced. I love a lot of French wine but my favourite, when I can get it is from California who are making some sublime whites in the Nappa valley and we had some Pinot recently which was fabulous.

If you have a special chocolate dessert then if you can source Essencia Orange Muscat from the Quady winery. Orange Muscat and as plump as a puppy. Yummy.

Oh dear. I feel that I have gone off topic. Sorry, my wife always says never to mention my pet hates, Traffic Police, Parking Wardens, Ryanair and women with tattoos (sorry), or indeed my love of wine or an entire evening can disappear in a fit of being lectured complete with Powerpoint presentation and printed handouts.

Some things need to be taken seriously! And now I am thinking of paraphrasing Churchillian quotations...………….
