1937 coachwork by Mann, Egerton in Norwich for the Chief Constable of Norfolk - a Bentley man. Then kept by a few others in our county before moving away in 1967. Now she's back and its a delight to have her home. There is still a Mann, Egerton social club in Norwich!
Do you Derby experts consider her to have a little 'Top Hat' or razor edge about her? I can't make up my mind!
I'd also like to try a badge bar that runs from lamp to lamp - anyone got one or knows where to get one please?
My wife and I are looking forward to using her a bit once we get through winter... |

Captain S H van Neck, MC. Top cop.
His first car, B63AE, M.E.
His second car, B35DK,
B35DK Americanised pimps car.
Your car, I go with semi-razor edge, not hard enough.
The mascot is actually for the M series, your car should have the forward leaning one.
The Captain himself.

I suppose you need something like in photo. Might have to adapt something to fit properly.
That's my grandfather standing beside what is now my car. |

Yes! That’s what I’m after.
How wonderful to have your grandfathers car. Did you get to go in it much when he had it? Has it stayed with your family throughout or did you have to re-introduce it?
Thanks for sharing the photo. |

Grandfather passed away in 1948, my grandmother continued to drive her in Edinburgh but sold in the early ‘50s. I was born in ’56. I managed to trace her in the mid ‘90s in the USA. Now, with a lot of restoration work done, I’m waiting, pandemic permitting, to use her as a wedding car for the next generation.
I would have thought you might be able to use any of the curved or bent badge bars available from spare part suppliers and adapt the brackets to attach it to the headlamp supports. It’s the sort of thing you might find at an Autojumble. Happy hunting! |

I am not a fan of badge bars, the one above the bumper is enough for me. Yours truly coming into land after testing the 8:1 pistons and free exhaust.
Try Holden Classics, and see what they have. |

OK - thank you guys.I'll search away.
Ewan - Great to get her back and use her for the next generation.
Christopher - I know what you mean about badge bars but I'm keen to try....I assume a less restrictive exhaust and higher compression for performance gain and acoustic enhancement? Did they work?
EBAY - there is a forward facing B on Ebay for £1750. Seems a great deal of money. It says it genuine. Are they this rare?
I am grateful for your kind and continued help and advice... |

You could consider also a support added to the front bumper struts, onto which you could attach a badge. Limited to one badge each side. But less fussy complication at the front end, maybe. |

Hi Ewan - yes I have been looking at fixing them there. I play around and see what I like. I appreciate your input. Thank you.
The forward B sold just after I put it on here so I guess they are rare!!! |
