Hello; I am the pleased keeper of Park Ward drop head coupe allegedly having body number A 234. The under trays all carry engine number N8BW and the firewall plaque B167HM, but nowhere can I locate the elusive body number. Can anyone assist? Thanks Michael FitzSimons

Michael,
A nice car. taken to the USA by a film producer, how do you get on with the overdrive?
You will only find the body "numbers" if you start to dismantle it!
Should you lift any of the floor boards, this number will be stamped on the undersides.
"A" is given to drophead bodies, "C" to saloons , and "B" to special bodies. |

If you are lucky, you may find the original label pinned to the nearside front footwell panel, just forward of the passenger door and just below the instrument panel.

The passenger footwell panel has a removable tool kit. So I should should withdraw the entire panel with kit and inspect the back of the panel---correct?? . Thanks
lAlso observe some wonderful thick adhesive material applied to the firewall, and a proper heater. It is a joy to drive DXL on a cold winter morning here in Connecticut. |

My Derby is a Park Ward sports saloon and the label is pinned over the side wall carpet and therefore visible. Your label may be somewhere else, never present or has been lost during refurbishment. |
