Having recently had cause to remove the cam cover and magnetos, I now have oil leak issues in spite of the home made gaskets I used during replacement.
My first question relates to the mags. Are there two gaskets each side? One between the mag and bronze sleeve and one between the bronze sleeve and tower, or just one where the mag fits the bronze sleeve?
If there are two, is it possible to ease the sleeve forward enough to fit the gasket, or is it a case of dismantling parts of the tower?
Second question is, should I use cork (from Jimmy Medcalf) or the original paper ones from NDR/ VSS? It seems to me that cork will do the better job. |
