We are going down the well trodden path of fitting a full flow oil filter to our 3.5 litre Derby Bentley and would love to know which is the most appropriate oil pipe to cut. It is my opinion that the sump to pump pipe is the one to interrupt as this will provide the pump with filtered oil will my erstwhile brother thinks the outlet side of the pump would be best to plumb through a filter . Any advice on the subject of how to dispose of a siblings body and if there is a preference as to’’which is the best pipe to cut’’ |

It's usual to install the filter downstream of the pump.
I have tried to upload a couple of photos of my car's installation but the forum is useless at such simple jobs.
Kits are available if you don't want to do the design and build yourself. |

Installation is one of several made with proprietary parts.
See the joins in the original pipes?

I'm sure image size is the cause of a lot of the problems members are having uploading pictures.
The forum's 2Mb image size limit has become out of date, as it is now much smaller than the images produced by phones and cameras. For a successful upload you need to reduce the image size to below the limit. This is a bit of a faff but can be done with the free tools included in Win10/11 if you haven't got any image editing software.
It's ironic that the forum automatically reduces images to 600 by 900 but only if they're below 2Mb in the first place. |

Thanks, Stephen.
Another similar car forum has updated its system so it now takes any image which can be added with a single click. This forum requires reducing the image, which as you say is a faff and hardly worth the effort. Maybe this is one reason why we get such a bad response on this forum. Are the BDC directors interested? |

We are fortunate that the forum accepts photos at all, some others dont. If you are using apple kit, the easiest way to reduce a photo is email it to yourself and when you press send you are given the option of small, medium, large image size. |
