To save me writing my story again, can I refer forum users to the Editor’s Mailbox in the latest Review. Any thoughts on my plug conundrum will be welcome. Many thanks for any responses. |

Many years ago I had an Alvis Speed 20, the slightest oiling of the NGK plugs caused poor running. Cleaning the plugs rarely brought an improvement, but I always carried a spare set and normal service was resumed for another 1000 miles.
Curiously I don’t recall trying another brand of plug to see if there was an improvement! |

In have always used Champion plugs in my classic cars, with no problems.
If in doubt, talk to Tim Green at the Green Spark Plug Co.

There are a lot of fake NGK and Denso plugs. |

To those of you who responded to my post regarding military plugs fitted to my mark 6, thank you very much but they did not answer my question. In the latest Review there is correspondence from Harry Medcalf listing similar problems to my own but with different vehicles. I am convinced that the problem lies with NGK plugs and would like to hear from others who use alternative plugs. |
