Hello everybody. I have recently joined the drivers club after acquired a 1948, 4257cc Bentley VI. I have a copy of the original delivery information showing it was first sold to Rt Hon Osbert Peake in London. However it says the car was originally black with blue hide upholstery but is now British racing green with brown upholstery and I'm not sure what chassis shape it originally had. The car has only had 3 previous owners and I'm hoping that somebody may know or knew the second owner. Thanks in advance, Andy

According to Bernard King’s book, your car would seem to be chassis no. B99CD first registered with number KMA475 and in 2007 owned by “Frost”.
The indication is that it is a “special” and may have been in Australia registered CRU 196.

Have you checked with the club as to what information they hold on the car?

B99CD.

The CRU196 number refers to B101CD.

Pre "D" series cars had flawed gearbox parts.
