Main changes of note:
Brighton Speed Trial: With the loss of the
Brighton Speed Trial event, the Antwerp Motor Union and the Con Mertens trophies will no longer be awarded.
Con Mertens Trophy for Mk VI Specials: This new award has now been introduced. It will be awarded to the same driver/car combination entered in both the BDC Scratch and BDC Handicap races as well as the BDC Sprint. All rounds count.

* If either the BDC Scratch race, BDC Handicap race or the BDC Sprint is not held, the remaining two competitions will count.
Times Challenge Trophy
Awarded to the 1st Group A, B or C, with start time added, in the BDC Scratch race. The winning car will receive a 10-second penalty if they win the trophy the next time entered. This has been introduced to prevent one car dominating the race.
