Catch the Vintage Bentleys from Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey
Two Vintage Bentleys which appeared in the hit TV drama series Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey will add their own special sparkle to this year’s Summer Concours & Party (17-19 June).
The iconic Grey Lady, a 1929 4½ Litre saloon, will line up on the Cubberley House lawns alongside a 1926 3 Litre.
Both cars are owned by Carol Medcalf-Cornwell, daughter of immediate Past President Jimmy Medcalf who has organised the display. They have both been owned by the Medcalf family for more than 50 years.
Each car boasts its own unique history. The Grey Lady is the world’s sole surviving Bentley with a Salmon-built Sports Saloon body; it also has a Tickford opening top.
The 3 Litre Vanden Plas-bodied car was once used during World War II by the War Office to capture parachuting German soldiers once they had landed.
Check them both out at Cubberley!
