Hi Chris,

Alan Bodfish in the club office may be able to help. Or the vintage spares scheme.

I had a look in the Technical Facts, and couldn't see a part number.
Rockers are available from various suppliers in, I think, various materials.
I'm curious, any particular reason why you need to know?

Hello Paul,
Yup, I've emailed Club Office with a request for drawings....I do have a copy of the general arrangement of the 4.5 engine circa 1928, but it is only the front half ( cylinders 1 and 2 and vertical shaft). All the part numbers are tabulated in their little boxes, but there is nothing for the rockers...so possibly their numbers may be on the half I don't have? Which would be about my luck..!

Hello John, thanks for your reply.
No particular reason for needing the part numbers other than to pander to my obsessive compulsive streak! I had a copy of the Three Litre Replacement Parts Book years ago, and did think about compiling a similar list of parts for the 4.5 engine whilst I renew mine. So whenever I overhaul or replace a part I try to note its number.
I have noted that during the rebuild, knowledge of the number is really rather irrelevant for a vast number of parts...and crucial for others, to avoid obsolescence or fitting something that makes your engine scream.

Hi Chris,

What a nice thing to do, I notice in the TF's that part numbers are listed for many items, but not rockers. Good luck in your quest, one would like to think that the relevant information should be about somewhere!
