I am about to have the bonnet re-sprayed to rectify the two bodged paint jobs since the 5k re-spray (all before I had the car).
The car should then look immaculate except for the leather - can anyone recommend anyone - and what should I expect to pay to have all four seats re-covered?
What about sheepskin fitted covers or what are the other options? _________________ '99 Arnage (Green Label) RCZ 502 (4.4 BMW) Retired Agricultural and Electronic Engineer & Technical Author |

Hi Dick
No Need to go through recovering unless leather is totally ripped/seams split etc.
I have details of two companies who can help. I will post the addresses etc when I have dug them out
One is run by the old restoration team from Connolly who now run on their own and still do restoration for major Connolly customers i.e. Houses of Parliament Buck House etc.
I buy my leather oil/cream/shampoo from them and it's first class as is the service. Their name is Leathercare Direct .
The other is a guy called John Connelly (no connection) who is well known around the Home Counties and does work for Heritage Aston Martin, Chiltern Jaguar and incidentally the guy I bought my old girl from.
Some time ago from the first I was quoted approx 400-500 for a complete interior and from the second 250-350 also for a complete interior. this included the dash top & bottom, door cards, headlining and rear shelf.

Thanks, Chas
There is some obvious damage, but I think that cleaning and re-colouring would be cost effective.
I the paint is Balmoral Green, does that indicate what colour the upholstery might have been, and where could I find that infomation? _________________ '99 Arnage (Green Label) RCZ 502 (4.4 BMW) Retired Agricultural and Electronic Engineer & Technical Author |

Hi Dick
Two/ three places to look places to look
If you have the original owners handbook the first page will show the paint and trim names and codes.
Plate under bonnet (believe on n/s gives paint and trim code)
Can't remember off the top off my head but my be on drivers door plates as well but not to sure on that one
underbonnet is the best to go for
