Hi anybody... for several years I’ve carried, in my Blower and in my Range Rover, Lithium powerpacks that have successfully jump started those two beasts (the Range Rover has a 5 litre Supercharged Jaguar V8 and the Blower has a 5.3 litre block). I now also have a Red Label (R-R V Arnage which has the usual two 12 volt batteries - one on each side of the boot. I’ve been told that I shouldn’t use one of those powerpacks in the event of the Arnage not starting. Indeed, I’m told that the proper thing to do is to turn the ignition key to the left (anti-clockwise) to engage the other battery. I just want to check whether anyone has ever jump started an Arnage and if so, by one of those >400-amp lightweight Lithium starter packs. If anyone knows of an Arnage’s complicated electronics getting ‘fried’ by one of those jobbies, then I’d be interested to hear of that too. Thanks Ron. _________________ Ron Warmington |
