|
|
I have loaded an SD card with my ITunes music and installed into the entertainment system. The info reads “loading data”. Then the screen shows the options of CD as highlighted and playable but the SD option is greyed out and so does not respond. The SD card is not faulty being able to play on my laptop.
Can anyone advise where I am going wrong?
Cheers for any advice.

Hi Roy,
A couple of thoughts;
One explanation is that your iTunes music is in iTunes own format (m4a, I think, I don't use it) and your music player is expecting mp3's or wma's.
Can you see the suffix on one of your music files?
You could run a search for an mp3 on your PC, then copy that to the SD card and see if the music box finds that.
Also, SD cards of 32GB and above use a format which is only supported on fairly recent equipment. I recently got called out by a pal whose 3d printer couldn't find his 64GB SD card and it had just about driven him batty.
Good luck

Hi Stephen ,
Thank you for your ideas. I will attempt regarding the format. The SD card is about 10 years old and never used until now. It’s capacity is 4gb. |

I'm pleased you've got it working. As the saying goes, "Standards are wonderful. There's thousands to choose from and they're all different."
I used to use freac free audio convertor which did the job, however that's quite a while ago. There's presumably something better now.
What sort of music do you listen to? |
