Does anyone have any recommendations of a good company who is experienced in repairing the head units?
My Sat Nav screen/head unit has failed and my local dealer (who I might add I cant fault and do a great job with the car) have tried everything they can but they cant bring it back to life and all they are now able to offer me is a 'advance replacement unit' at a cost of just over £3,000.
Having had the odd problem with sat nav units in other marques in the past, I've always been able to find go places to get them repaired...any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
Its a 2011, non touch screen version

I wonder if the same unit is fitted to other cars (Audi A8?), if you could establish what it is a more economical solution might be found.

We have had a few cars in with a similar issue, we have a supplier we us who repairs the units and sends them back to us.
The cost is far less than a replacement unit.
If for whatever reason they cannot repair it there is still a charge but it is reduced.
First up though we would need to see the car and do the usual checks first to make sure it’s not something simple or a fault elsewhere in the car that’s causing the issue. Once that’s exhausted we would remove the unit and send it away for repair, usually takes about a week to have the whole thing turned around and completed. |
