Wanted - an LH door Glass for my Continental R MY97.
Unfortunately Bentley stopped supplying this part quite some time ago. The part number is UB85821.
Could anyone help me to get this part?

Hi Michael, I see that Flying spares are out of stock, but I have emailed a specialist Bentley/Rolls vehicle dismantler here in the UK to see if he can assist.Will update you upon reply.

There are quite a few Continental R and Turbo R members Ben and perhaps the regular contributors may wish to assist you in that direction. I don’t think that the club itself will actually recommend particular engineers . Whereabouts are you ?

Hi Martin, was this meant to be in the thread I started instead? I'm in Sheffield, though most of the cars on the market at the moment are around London so I would also be looking for someone in that area to do inspections of cars I might buy.

Hi Michael,
who is listed as being in Germany. I have had a reply from a couple of UK Bentley/Rolls dismantlers, unfortunately they are unable to assist.
The only idea that comes to mind, is to buy a larger size glass and have it cut down to fit. I have seen this done with windscreens.

One last comment, I have passed on the part number given and the request is being circulated around the trade here in the UK. But would suggest still that you try the USA.
It would also help if you acknowledged that you have read these posts.Should a Glass become available there is no way I can contact you apart from posting on here at the moment. |
