Was tidying my boot today and came across what looks like an electric socket/plug, set into the offside panel of the boot trim, towards the back of the boot. Not having a young back, before I investigated I thought some one might have a clue and that I need not worry about having a poke around. |

If it is what I think it is, it's the battery charging port. It should about 2 cm long and have two sockets, one slightly larger diameter than the other. To verify this, following the wires should connect directly to the battery.
Good luck trying to find the proper plug for this. I've been looking for years. I might have to swap this out for a modern charging plug or continue to open the battery box for charging. |

Thank you Charles for reply, will now wait for the rain to stop and remove the panel and see what I can find. I now have an independent mechanic who actually knows his way around the vehicle. Will see what he comes up with next week.whatever I find out will post on here. |
