Greetings. On my 2005 Arnage T dash light warning saying "Auto Ride Height" comes on often. I read that it may be due to fluid level changing as car is driven. I added proper fluid to level of screen. Fluid is green and doesn't look old. I've not examined the spheres' dates. (I read at 10 years they may need replacing.) Warning is now on most of the time. The ride is firmer than I would have expected, but not uncomfortable. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

If the control system fails it defaults to the firmest setting, which sounds like what you're issue is. My understanding is that this is normally an electronic failure, could be a sensor somewhere.

I'm no expert here, so a visit to a dealer or someone else who has the Bentley diagnostic computers is probably the best bet.

I have also heard about the spheres needing to be replaced ~10y interval. Mine are at 17 years (2004 build Arnage R) and I'm getting it checked out soon as I think they may be getting weak, but they were fun until quite recently.

I have also read that if your spheres fail you should cease driving as you could do damage to the dampers which are far more expensive to replace than the spheres. According to the factory manual, the spheres are a 1.1hr replacement, and they're about $220ea, I know plenty of people who DIY them, as the process doesn't seem too difficult, but I'm probably going to let the dealer do it the first time at least.

Thank you, BB. Bentley of Austin (Texas) refused to look at my 2005 Arnage. Service manager said they couldn't get parts for older Bentleys. What? He said Bentley had stopped making them. What? He also said Bentley Austin couldn't get the old software to support any diagnostics for my Arnage. He pointed to an Arnage and Silver Seraph that had been there a year waiting on parts to repair door locks.

That’s crazy, my local dealer still services S series/Silver Cloud era cars!
