HI everyone, I have a strange noise the comes from the front of the engine bay (possibly from the ancillaries / pullies area) its like a clatter that goes away once fully warmed up and then sounds normal. it tends to happen much less in warm weather also. (not tappet noise)
I know there is some sort of air pump to assist emissions on cold start and wondered if it wat that? I have tried turning AC on / off etc and its not that. (to rule out noisy compressor)
any ideas would be appreciated.
Also while im here does anyone know the best engine oil to use for this car..im currently using a 5-w40 Castrol edge. is this ok or too thin? I choose this as thought it would have good cold start circulation as good as hot protection..? |
