I posted the above video to highlight the problems faced by cars of this era. It would appear that the only spare ecu's available are those from scrapped cars. As time passes the problem will just get worse and very soon there will be no drivable cars of these sorts.
I assume that somewhere there must be a full specification for the ecu and for those of similar cars. It must be virtually impossible to reverse engineer.
If you have a similar car, should you be forming a group to address the problem? |

I watched that recently. It is a worry I have with my Turbo R, it's a late one with the Zytek ECU. From what I could find before I bought it they are very hard to replace, but that it's also rare that they have problems.
Zytek still exist as a company but I have no idea if they would still have the specs or be willing to make them available. If a group could help with that that would be fantastic, but in the meantime I'm hoping it continues to work as it does now. |
